In this blog we try to give more and more possible solutions to get to the goal and it is in this perspective that we present this 3D drawing program: 3D TIN.
3DTin is a browser-based 3D modeling editor that allows you to create 3D models on the web, without the need to download additional software. Since it is not heavy software, it has its limitations. However, it is one of the easiest and fastest ways to create 3D models, even if you have never used one before. The company has over 100,000 users and was one of the first 3D modeling applications of its kind, launched in early 2010.
Browser capability is an application definition feature. While others require you to download or install complex software, 3D Tin allows you to start creating models in seconds. What’s more, it is compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and most other modern web browsers, provided they are equipped with OpenGL.
3D TIN: Easy and intuitive modelling
Ease of use is the best feature of the application. 3D Tin uses voxels (Volumetric Pixel). A bit like in Minecraft, you combine these voxels to build your model. This could make you go back to childhood and remind you when you assembled the Lego bricks to create what your imagination suggested.
Once you’ve boulders together, you can rotate, flip, and smooth the model. You are not even confined to rectangular bricks, you can add cylinders, spheres, cones, text, and even make shapes of fantasy. You can also import 2D images and convert them to 3D models, as long as they are not too complex.
Once done, you can easily export the template for printing or for a more complex editor.
Lagoa, a 3D rendering company, recently acquired the application. So, now you can render images on any computer using only the browser and the cloud when the necessary process requires some hardware help. You can export 3DTin images easily to Lagoa, which allows you to choose different materials for printing and changing colors. The software also allows you to collaborate on a model with other users.
