KISSlicer is a fast, easy-to-use, cross-platform program that takes 3D files (STL) and generates G-code files, an extension used by 3D printers.
This software is available in both free and paid versions. The free version has all the features needed by the hobbyist who uses a machine mosoextruder. The Pro version adds the ability to print multiextruder, but not many other options.
This software is also the most translated. In addition to the basic English there are many other languages: Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Dutch, German, French, Finnish and Russian. So almost any user can use this slicer in their native language.
At first use, KISSlicer already gives acceptable results, but not repeatable. This does not happen with Cura. It is an excellent slicer for large prints, but with smaller objects, it needs a thorough knowledge and many trial tests before producing results comparable to Cura.
To facilitate the task of learning with KISSlicer we propose a guide, that after a careful reading, will make you have excellent results.
The updated version on the official website is already old. At the moment we are testing a Beta (version 1.5) that will soon be uploaded on the site. An excellent point in favor of KISSlicer is that the developer fixed in a very short time every bug identified by users.
