The Rostock MAX Delta 3D printer presents itself as a KIT is a cult among fans of 3D printing. It offers one of the largest print volumes for the price.
But size is not everything: this machine is incredibly well designed and can reach resolutions up to 20 microns at a speed of 60 mm/s, having a great versatility of printable materials.
Rostock Max v2 Delta: Impressions
Rostock Max is great. It has excellent print quality, great volume and price consistency. The only downside is the initial configuration. The initial configuration could eventually lead you to an eternal adjustment. It is rather difficult to level and perform the initial calibration for the delta arms. But note, you don’t need a perfect calibration to get great prints. However, it’s a great learning experience for those who want to start with the 3D that buy this print and install it themselves. As you say a real school ship.
The rostock max is a great printer for the price, the community is fantastic and you can easily find or plan changes. All new developments are upgradeable. I recommend that you buy the do-it-yourself kit to make your bones in the construction, and so you will be able to apply changes and upgrades.
